Creative Accelerator 101

Are you a creative business with international ambitions? If you are a company that uses creativity to develop products or services and want to grow your business by expanding into new markets; we are taking expressions of interest for a free one-day hybrid workshop on the 9th June.

 

Is this workshop for you?

The workshop will cover content relevant to emerging exporters and is aimed at those who:

  • Have a business where creativity plays a key role in the design of your product or service. Your business could be built around art, design, culture, gaming or film, as well as architects, engineers or construction companies selling innovative designs.
  • You are already selling successfully in Australia.
  • You may be starting to get some interest from international customers.
  • You think there would be a market for their product/service internationally.

 

The format

The one-day workshop will be run over two sessions: 9.30 – 12.30 and 1.00 – 4.00pm allowing for a 30-minute lunch break.
In-person delivery: The workshop will be delivered face-to-face at the Lighthouse offices at 17/9 Beaconsfield Street, Fyshwick in Canberra.
Online delivery: The workshop will also be live-streamed via Zoom and recordings will be made available for those who can't attend for the whole day.

 

Is there a cost?

No, the workshop if free to attend. Participants will however, need to complete an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to ensure the workshop is the right fit for you. The EOI form can be found at https://bit.ly/3MI78Af. 

 

What will be covered in the workshop?

  • What is exporting and are you export-ready?
  • The pros and cons of exporting e.g., spreading your risk, increasing your pool of customers.
  • Busting some of the export myths.
  • What to consider when getting ready to export (legal, financial, market access, managing risk etc.).
  • Next steps – what business essentials do you need to have in place?
  • What support is available?
