Workshops

At Lighthouse we translate business, marketing and entrepreneurship theory into practical know-how. Taught by practitioners rather than academics, our small group workshops are interactive and encourage critical discussion, peer learning and a focus on application of the topics covered. Our workshops are delivered by people who work in the field and bring many years of 'lessons learned' and tricks of the trade to the workshops - the kinds of things you won't necessarily find in a textbook.

This facilitated peer group will explore the following topics:

• The difference between a hobby and a business.
• The benefits of building a business around your creative passion.
• How to evaluate whether your business idea has potential.
• What are some of the pitfalls to avoid when you are just starting out.
• Where can you access business help and support.

Aimed at creative entrepreneurs thinking about whether to take the next step and transition from a hobby to a business.

Meditation is a practice most often associated with mindfulness and mental health, but is increasingly being used by business leaders to improve individual and team performance.

A growing body of evidence supports its role in:

Presenter:

The workshop will be presented by Tom Henderson, a seasoned Art of Living teacher and facilitator with over 25 years of experience in breathwork and meditation. Tom's day job is managing a local design and construction firm focused on sustainable housing and he credits meditation for keeping him centered amid the daily challenges of life.
