Once you have a website, the next step is learning how to manage it. Managing a website is more than just updating content; it's being able to manage both the content and some basic technical tasks. This can save you both time and money and will give you the flexibility to accommodate growth and changing requirements.

The content covered does not require any programming or technical knowledge and is applicable to websites developed in WordPress, Joomla!, Drupal or any built-in Content Management System.

Topics include:

• Site speed, images, screen size checks, forms and submitting your XML sitemap
• Identifying initiatives to drive user experience and increase results
• Understanding the principles of SEO (search engine optimisation)
• Building and managing landing pages, installing conversion codes and tracking pixels
• Updating CMS themes and plugins, Google Webmaster Tools
• Using Google Analytics to analyse performance and provide insights
• Website backups, passwords, firewalls and protecting customer data

The workshop series is delivered by a software engineer and website developer with over 20 years experience in building and managing high traffic ecommerce websites.
