Photo Anna PinoAnna Pino - Director and Chief Executive Officer

Raised in a business family, Anna grew up experiencing the highs and lows, opportunities, challenges, stress and rewards associated with growing a successful business.  As the 'black sheep' of the family, Anna thought she would try something a little different and spent 10 years working in government. She did policy work including the draft policy introducing Permanent Part Time work into the then Industry portfolio and contributing to the cabinet submissions on the sale of Telstra and increasing the rates for R&D Tax rebates.  Anna was also part of development and delivery teams for several highly successful government support programs for business including the National Procurement Development Program (NPDP), Export Access, the R&D Tax Program and Invest Australia.  Anna was awarded one of a limited number of full time scholarships to continue her studies.

Anna's working career started as a Psychologist and over the years she has used these skills to help people understand and negotiate their way through the challenges associated with business development and growth.  Anna has completed a number of additional studies including a Graduate Diploma in Computing (specialising in systems analysis and information systems) and a Master of Commerce in which her dissertation focused on the issues associated with capital raising for small business in Australia.  Anna is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Harvard Alumni.

Anna's work experience is as diverse as her academic record, she has worked in design and advertising, sales, allied health, venture capital, business advisory and development and the For Purpose sector.  Anna sees her key skills as financial planning, control and analysis, market definition and import/export strategies, human resource management, stock control and purchasing structures and risk management.  Anna has developed excellent skills in corporate governance, board development and management, setting up 'multi-purpose' corporate structures and is an experienced company secretary and provider of tailored secretariat services.

Anna is also a firm believer that there is no such thing as a 'one size fits all' solution and that services must be targeted and individualised to be successful.

A brief highlight of Anna's experience includes:

  • Establishing and assisting in the running a number of small business in their start up stages – provided support to over 7000 start-ups and growing businesses Australia wide since 2008.
